Start with the people who need access
Cleaning software cost depends on who needs access, which features you use and how you pay. An owner plus three cleaners is four people. Ask whether each role is billable, how inactive staff are treated and what tasks the proposed plan supports.
This guide uses official vendor documentation, not hands-on testing. It is a pricing worksheet, not a quality ranking. For product fit, start with our cleaning business software comparison.
Jobber: compare billing commitments
Jobber's US pricing page listed these subscription examples when rechecked on October 4, 2026. Annual totals are the annual-billing monthly equivalent multiplied by 12.
| Plan and allowance | Monthly, no commitment | Monthly equivalent, billed annually | Calculated annual subscription |
|---|---|---|---|
| Core, 1 user | $49 | $29 | $348 |
| Connect, up to 5 users | $199 | $149 | $1,788 |
| Connect, up to 10 users | $299 | $229 | $2,748 |
These are USD subscription figures before applicable taxes and extras. Jobber also lists a one-year-commitment monthly option, which is different from both no-commitment monthly service and annual prepayment. Core includes booking, scheduling, quotes, invoices and online payments; Connect adds reminders, automatic payments, checklists, follow-ups, QuickBooks Online sync, and time and expense tracking.
Jobber official pricingZenMaid: account for additional profiles
ZenMaid's official help article, dated June 4, 2026, documents the examples below. The owner is included and other active profiles cost extra. The live pricing page did not expose a numeric quote in retrieved text, so treat these as dated documented examples, not a current checkout quote.
| Plan | Base | Additional profile | Owner + 3 cleaners | Owner + 10 cleaners |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $19 | $4 | $31 | $59 |
| Pro | $39 | $14 | $81 | $179 |
| Pro Max | $49 | $24 | $121 | $289 |
Team figures are calculations from those published monthly rates, before extras. The article describes Starter for up to 40 appointments a month and SMS bundles beginning at $14 for 125 messages. It directs readers to the live pricing page for the latest quote; verify all figures before purchasing.
Why the cheapest row may not be the cheapest solution
A basic plan that requires separate invoicing or hours of manual follow-up may be less suitable than a higher-priced plan that handles those tasks. Compare a complete workflow: create a weekly appointment, assign a worker, change the date, update the customer and prepare an invoice.
Align headcount before comparing. Jobber's ten-user example and ZenMaid's owner-plus-ten-cleaners example cover different numbers of people and different features. Neither table establishes which product offers better value. Our Jobber vs ZenMaid comparison explains what to test.
Build a complete monthly budget
| Cost item | What to record |
|---|---|
| Subscription | Selected plan, currency and billing commitment |
| Team access | Included roles and extra-user charges |
| Customer messaging | Included allowance and extra-message costs |
| Payments | Processing rate, fixed transaction fee and other charges |
| Connected tools | Accounting or other subscriptions still needed |
| Setup | Migration, onboarding and training costs |
| Taxes | Amount shown on the applicable quote or invoice |
For payment processing, apply the percentage only to money collected through that processor, then add the fixed fee for each transaction. A hypothetical 3% plus $0.30 fee on $5,000 across 50 transactions would be $165; this is arithmetic, not a quoted vendor rate.
Test the operational side with our cleaning scheduling guide and cleaning invoicing guide.
Decide whether the cost is justified
Estimate administrative time the system could realistically save. If time is valued at $20 an hour and a tool saves five hours monthly, that represents $100 of time value—not automatically $100 in cash profit. During a trial, record the time needed to set up recurring appointments, reschedule jobs and prepare invoices, and ask a cleaner to test the mobile workflow.
Common questions
Should a solo cleaner buy a team plan?
Choose by required features as well as headcount. One person may need an advanced feature, while a larger team may have simpler needs.
Is annual billing always better?
A lower monthly equivalent may reduce annual subscription cost but commits more money upfront. Compare the amount payable, cancellation terms and confidence in the product.
Can software replace an accountant?
Scheduling and invoicing do not cover every bookkeeping or reporting need. Check how records are exported or shared with your accountant.
Which price should I use in my budget?
Use the current quote for your exact configuration. Recheck users, extras, taxes and renewal terms before buying.

FieldAppScout rechecked the linked official sources on October 4, 2026. Jobber figures reflect its current published US pricing page. ZenMaid figures are explicitly dated examples from its June 4, 2026 help article because a numeric live quote was not retrievable. Prices and plan rules can change.
